Legal validity
Signatures captured with DimeFirma are issued under the ESIGN Act (15 USC 7001), UETA, and Puerto Rico Act 148-2006. Every signature carries an evidence certificate: signer identity, date and time, IP address, device, a cryptographic hash of the document, and a record of each page accepted.

Is an electronic signature legally valid?
Yes. In the United States and Puerto Rico, electronic signatures carry the same legal weight as a signature on paper under the ESIGN Act (15 USC 7001), UETA, and Puerto Rico Act 148-2006. DimeFirma implements the same legal framework the established signature platforms do: explicit consent, ESIGN disclosure, and evidence captured for every signature.

What does my client need in order to sign?
Nothing but their phone or computer. They get a secure link by email (or you share it over WhatsApp, or they scan your QR at your counter), read the document page by page, fill in their fields, check their consent, and sign. No app to install and no account to create.
How does the self-service QR work?
You pick the documents in your package (say: intake plus consent) and DimeFirma generates a permanent QR code you can print and place at your counter or in your waiting room. Your client scans it with their phone, types their name, fills in the fields, and signs every document in order from a single link. When they finish you get an email and the signed documents appear in your portal with the captured data.
What evidence is kept for each signature?
Every signature records the IP address, date and time, browser and device, a cryptographic hash of the document (tamper-evident), the consent boxes that were checked, and the completion certificate. All of it is archived securely for at least 7 years.
Can I use my own documents?
Yes, and they are signed AS-IS. Upload your company PDF (a contract, an agreement, a form) and drag signature, date, text and checkbox fields onto it. With "Suggest fields", the signature lines, dates, blanks and checkboxes are detected and placed for you, instantly, in your browser. The signed document keeps your exact formatting, with the cursive signature stamped where you put it. Save it as a reusable template so you never repeat the work.
Can two people sign the same document?
Yes. Turn on "Two signers" when you send: your representative (a director, say) and your client each get their own link and can sign in any order, even from the same counter. When both have signed, the final PDF carries both signatures and a single evidence file.
What happens when the 30-day trial ends?
The Free plan never asks for a card and never expires: it stays free for as long as you use it. Only Pro asks for a card at signup, and you are not charged during the 30 days. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription continues automatically at US$19.99/month per location. You can cancel whenever you want, with no penalty, and your account returns to the Free plan.
Can I use DimeFirma from the mainland United States?
Yes. DimeFirma is built in Puerto Rico and the platform works anywhere in the United States. Every signature is issued with an evidence certificate under the same framework: the federal ESIGN Act (15 USC 7001), UETA, and Puerto Rico Act 148-2006. Two things worth being clear about: the law that governs your contract, not our platform, determines its validity, so check with your attorney if your agreement is governed by a specific state law; and DimeFirma does not replace a notary for the documents that require one, such as property transfers, powers of attorney, and vehicle titles. The free plan asks for no card. One current limitation, stated plainly: the signing screen your client sees, the emails they receive, and the evidence certificate are still in Spanish. English versions are in progress.
